We are always looking for volunteers. Volunteers can help organize events, promote fundraisers, and help out around the office. Volunteers are especially needed to help with our annual Genderblast! conference in the fall.
Working for the YGP is an incredible opportunity. Interns gain experience working in the non-profit realm and learn skills such as grant-writing, fundraising, community organizing, event coordinating and much more. YGP also collaborates with other organizations, particularly in the SF Bay area, which provides a good venue for networking with other like-minded individuals. We offer unpaid internships and staff positions for the summer and throughout the year. Many colleges and universities also have programs that provide students with a grant or stipend to intern at a non-profit.
We rely on the opinions and advice of our experienced board members. Members of the board help us with fiscal planning, advise us and give us direction regarding the future of our organization and enrich our organization with their networking abilities and connections within the community.
A non-profit organization like the YGP needs all the help it can get. See our donate & wishlist section for more information about financial contributions and to see our list of needed supplies.
